The Privett Centre
Our Year 5 children spend a few days in the Summer term at The Privett Centre. Situated in the Meon Valley between Alton and Petersfield the Privett Outdoor Centre offers us one or two night self-catering residential opportunities for small groups of our young people and their leaders.
Privett sleeps 18 in small bedrooms plus two single staff bedrooms. It is a former primary school which is now a listed building owned by Hampshire County Council. The Centre is situated in an ideal position for outdoor education work, whether of a field studies nature or for personal and social development. We aim to develop independence and social skills during trips such as these.
The Privett Centre Trust is a registered charity (Charity Number: 1020769) , mainly representing schools and colleges in the Basingstoke area.
Address: Church Lane, Privett, Alton, Hampshire GU34 3PE
Our Year 6 children spend up to a week in the Spring term at Fairthorne Manor.
Fairthorne Manor is an area of parkland and woodlands in Hampshire, England, near the village of Botley. It has an area of 111 acres, including a golf course.
Fairthorne Manor is primarily a children's outdoors activity centre, and offers a variety of activities including kayaking, canoeing, sailing, abseiling, climbing, archery, aerial runway and raft-building.
By far the main income of Fairthorne comes from the summer camps, when thousands of children come in from the surrounding area to take part in the activities on offer.
The manor itself is the administration hub of the site.
Fairthorne is run by the YMCA charity (Charity Number: 1090981 Company Number: 4336719)
