Information from our Home/School Team

For all of our children - school is a routine - this routine has been disrupted in the most unexpected way. We cannot give reassurances or offer definite answers to questions. However, there is now a wealth of suggestions and guidance as to how we can respond to our children and to help if anxiety is present.

Please take a look first of all at the Tips for Families document from the National Autistic Society listed below.  Be aware - there is a lot of material to look at and it may be a challenge to find the time as you are all busy with the children at home! Also, please bear in mind the level of understanding of your child - for example, a few of the stories are full of information that could provide reassurance for some and cause anxiety in others. You will know your child best.
