On behalf of the children, staff and governors I would like to warmly welcome you to Maple Ridge School website. I am very proud to be the Headteacher here, where we work together to secure the most relevant education for all, and always believe that anything is possible!
Maple Ridge School is a Primary Special School for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties, many of our children also have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. All of our children have an Education Health & Care Plan, and we work closely with numerous professionals to ensure that we provide the appropriate provision for each individual child.
We update the website regularly, with calendar dates for parents, letters that we send home, and all of the activities that our children get up to in school. There are sections of the website for each class, so you can check in to view their weekly newsletters. We have a community room in school that is often used by numerous outside agencies, for example: Hampshire Parent Carer Network & Speech and Language Therapy Service.
As a school we have a charity called 'Friends of Maple Ridge' run by some of our parents, who arrange regular school events, and do fundraising to help raise money for the school. We also work closely with local charities, such as The Rotary Club, and often have fundraising events happening in school to support our local community.
I hope that you find the site interesting, useful and informative, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. If you require more information please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01256 323639 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org . If you call the school you will speak to one of our 3 office staff who will be more than happy to help you in any way they can.
